The three most common STL licenses
Personal use only
You can print for yourself. You cannot sell prints, share the file, or use it commercially.
Commercial license (per-designer)
You may sell physical prints. You may not resell, redistribute or repackage the STL file itself. This is what most Patreon and Cults sellers offer.
Creative Commons variants
CC-BY allows commercial use with credit. CC-BY-NC forbids commercial use. Read the specific license — the difference matters.
